Success for Andy and Kieren, pictured below , who completed the ride of all 108 miles with 7 climbs covering 9,430ft ! Phil and Chris also took part completing most of the route. What a challenge! Just amazing and we are so grateful to have them with us raising funds for our school solar project in Sierra Leone. Starting early in the morning they completed the course late afternoon and just ahead of the rain - thank heavens! Truly inspirational and a HUGE THANK YOU to riders and sponsors.

JUST BRILLIANT!!!!!
On Sunday 23rd May, Kieren, Phil, Chris and Andy rode the 108 mile course, taking in 9,430ft over seven climbs - it is one of the UK's hardest sportive, set in the beautiful but gruelling Yorkshire Dales.!
They have taken on this amazing challenge to raise money for our new School's PV Solar system in Lungi, Sierra Leone, for without solar power there is no light or computer access. Lungi Charity started building a Secondary School in Lungi Sierra Leone in January 2020 with a view to creating a school of excellence, to give the children the opportunity to achieve, to dream of a better life through education. In the area there are schools, but the standard is low, the classes overcrowded, and for most there is little chance of attaining the entry level required for University. We hope the new school will help remedy the situation. Construction began with the purchase of a jungle covered plot last January and the villagers have played a big part in the build to date - the mood behind the build is extraordinarily positive. The roof is going on shortly and we hope to have all complete by Christmas!
